Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. .SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A ridge over the NW portion will weaken today as a weak cold front enters the waters and dissipates tonight. High pressure will slowly strengthen NW of the waters tonight into Tue, then gradually weaken Tue night through Thu night. A trough will continue along the California coast today, then strengthen tonight and Mon. The trough will persist through Thu night while slowly weakening Wed night into Thu night.
