Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
240 PM MDT Wed Jun 5 2024

.Discussion...

A weak cold front drops through the plains tonight bringing a slight
cool down for eastern areas on Thursday. Upslope flow may also lead
to a few afternoon showers across the eastern mountains on Thursday.
Temperatures will soar again for Friday though increasing moisture
will lead to more clouds and isolated to scattered afternoon showers
and thunderstorms. Thunderstorm chances increase and temperatures
cool down for the weekend into early next week. The best chances for
wetting rains during this period will be across the southeast mountains
and plains until Monday when moisture out west increases chances of
wetting rains along the Continental Divide as well. Another drying and
warming trend will settle in for next week.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will be very good to excellent
across the western half of the district both tomorrow and
again on Friday. Dispersions across the eastern half of the
district will be good to very good tomorrow afternoon and rise
to very good to excellent on Friday.
