...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL SWEETWATER COUNTY
THROUGH 300 PM MDT...

At 217 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles southwest of Bitter Creek Rest Area, which is 26 miles east of
Rock Springs, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Bitter Creek Rest Area around 235 PM MDT.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 137 and 165.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
