SOUTHEASTERN KANAWHA...SOUTHWESTERN CLAY AND NORTHWESTERN FAYETTE
COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 AM EDT...

At 1156 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Cedar Grove, or 10 miles southeast of Charleston,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Clay, Montgomery, Cedar Grove, East Bank, Glasgow, Smithers, Gauley
Bridge, Pratt, Glen, Powellton, Handley, Dawes, Bickmore, Swiss,
Indore, Sharon, Bentree, and Pond Gap.

This includes West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 74 and 84.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
