...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LEWIS...
NORTHEASTERN UPSHUR...BARBOUR AND SOUTHEASTERN HARRISON COUNTIES
THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 500 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Jackson Mill, or 7 miles northeast of Weston, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Philippi, Audra State Park, Belington, Jackson Mill, West Milford,
Lost Creek, Jane Lew, Moatsville, Volga, Century, Nestorville,
Hodgesville, and Galloway.

This includes Interstate 79 between mile markers 103 and 115.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
northern and northeastern West Virginia.
