This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Slight hail risk.
  Slight thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive heat risk.
  Elevated excessive rainfall risk.

DISCUSSION...

Heat Index values in the middle 90s to near 105 will continue into
early this evening.

Storms are possible north of Interstate 44 tonight into Saturday
morning, with the best potential being north of Highway 54. A few
strong to severe storms will be possible with winds up to 60 mph
and hail up to the size of quarters the risk. Locally heavy rain
will also occur with the storms tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday will be very hot with Heat Index values up to 110.
Marginally severe storms will be possible through Saturday night.
Slightly cooler conditions will occur on Sunday, then the hot
conditions return early next week.

  Spotter activation may be needed tonight.
