...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN BARTON...CEDAR...
NORTHWESTERN POLK...SOUTHEASTERN VERNON AND NORTHWESTERN DADE
COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM CDT...

At 727 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 14 miles south of El Dorado Springs to near
Sheldon to near Liberal. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Stockton Lake, Stockton State Park, Lamar, Stockton, Humansville,
Liberal, Sheldon, Fair Play, Montevallo, Jerico Springs, Lamar
Heights, Irwin, Arcola, Umber View Heights, Milford, Bearcreek, Cane
Hill, Arnica, Neola, and Sylvania.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 60 and 77.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Stockton Lake, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
central, southwestern and west central Missouri.
