.SYNOPSIS...
Well below average high temperatures will continue through
Thursday along with another chance for mostly light showers on
Thursday and Thursday night. High pressure will bring dry and much
warmer weather for the weekend with inland high temperatures
warming to around average on Saturday and 5 to 10 degrees above
average for Monday of next week.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Thursday)...
A few light island band showers could linger into this morning,
mostly for San Diego County. Well-below average high temperatures
will continue through Thursday with high temperatures for the
mountains and inland valleys as much as 15 to 20 degrees below
average. The next low pressure system from the northwest will
bring another chance for mostly light showers from the coastal
waters to the mountains for Thursday into Thursday night.

.LONG TERM (Friday through Monday)...
Inland areas will begin to warm on Friday with high pressure
bringing dry and much warmer weather for the weekend into early
next week with high temperatures for inland areas warming to
around average on Saturday and to 5 to 10 degrees above average on
Monday. High temperatures for the inland valleys will warm into
the mid 80s to lower 90s on Saturday, and 90s to around 100
Monday. For the lower deserts, high temperatures will warm to
around 100 on Saturday, and to 102 to 107 on Monday.

.AVIATION...
170930Z...Coast to mountain ridges...Areas of variable low clouds
with bases varying 2500-3500 feet MSL and tops to 6500 feet will
continue this morning. Local terrain above 3000 feet MSL will be
obscured. Most areas to scatter out after 16Z, starting at the coast
and working inland eventually to coastal mountain slopes. Areas of
low clouds will redevelop after 02Z, first at coastal mountain
slopes and later toward coast. Bases would be around 1800-2800 feet
MSL with tops to 3500 feet.

Westerly winds will gust 35-45 knots through mountain passes into
deserts through 14Z. Local moderate up/downdrafts east of mountain
ridges.

Otherwise... mostly clear today and tonight.
