West winds will gust between 55 and 60 mph this morning from Browning eastward to just west of Havre. The strong winds will start to diminish after 8 AM this morning. Those traveling in this region, including portions of I-15 from Shelby to Sweet Grass, or the Highway 2 corridor from Browning to west of Havre, should be alert for wind gusts in excess of 50 mph. $$ MTZ301-281300- East Glacier Park Region- Including the cities of East Glacier Park, Kiowa, Babb, Saint Mary, Marias Pass, and Logan Pass 342 AM MDT Fri Jun 28 2024 ...Gusty winds and snow at ridgetops on the east side of Glacier Park early this morning... Wind gusts around 55 mph are occurring near the ridgetops on the east side of Glacier Park this morning. The strong winds will start to diminish after 8 AM, but windy conditions will still continue through the remainder of this morning. Additionally, snow is likely falling for elevations above 7500 feet, which is a few hundred feet above Logan`s Pass. Snow accumulations of an inch are two are expected at ridgetops this morning. Thus those hiking at the higher elevations of Glacier Park on the east side this morning should be prepared for windy and winter conditions, including wind chill values in the 20s. $$ Brusda
