...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL NEWTON AND NORTHWESTERN
JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 PM CDT...

At 1230 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Roselawn to Morocco. Movement was
northeast at 30 to 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
DeMotte, Morocco, Roselawn, Mount Ayr, Fair Oaks, and Parr.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
