At 242 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers, some with heavy rain mainly in southeast Oklahoma and also
in Arkansas west of I49. They were most widespread and heaviest in
Latimer and Leflore counties in Oklahoma and Crawford county in
Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith and Bentonville,
Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was to the east at around 20
mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was around one
tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of three quarters to around an
inch. Intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late tonight and into this morning, cloudy, occasional
showers and a chance of thunderstorms with temperatures 62 to 67
degrees and north winds up to 10 mph.
