At 842 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain over much of eastern
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. They were most widespread and
heaviest in Adair county in Oklahoma and Madison and Washington
counties in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith area.
The precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville
area. Movement was to the south at around 30 mph. The average amount
where it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch with
maximum amounts of two to two and a half inches. Coverage and
intensity remained about the same as last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for this morning, partly sunny, a chance of showers and
thunderstorms and some thunderstorms may be severe.
