...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MARENGO AND
SOUTHERN SUMTER COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM CDT...

At 313 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
York, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
York, Cuba, Coatopa, Dug Hill, Kinterbish, Old Mallard Airport, U.S.
80 and AL 28, Lilita, Bellamy, Whitfield, Ward, Oakchia, and
Demopolis Municipal Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
southwestern and west central Alabama.
