KEY MESSAGES: - A few showers this morning with weak cold front passage. - Slow warm up to the 80s for highs by mid week. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Cold front moving through this morning with a few showers moving across southern Saskatchewan beginning to dip south across the border. Cold air advection behind the front will keep temperatures a few degrees cooler than yesterday, and bring a slight increase of winds. Upper ridge builds east from the Pacific coast into Montana by Tuesday for warming temperatures. Reading will top out on Wednesday by as much as 15 to 20 degrees above season normal. A series of shortwave troughs will knock down the upper ridge through the end of the week with a cooling trend expected. FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: NBM90 keeps wind speeds just below criteria for Lake Wind Advisory for today although did include in blend for today. Temperature spread increases for late in the week with uncertainty regarding positioning of west coast trough and track of shortwaves ejecting from said trough. These differences will also have an impact on precipitation chances, although in general the forecast is expected to be mostly dry. && .AVIATION...
