...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN THOMAS...
NORTHEASTERN LOGAN...SOUTHWESTERN SHERIDAN AND NORTHWESTERN GOVE
COUNTIES THROUGH 315 AM CDT...

At 234 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles north of Monument, or 10 miles west of Oakley, moving east at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Oakley around 240 AM CDT.
  Grinnell around 305 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Mingo and Angelus.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 63 and 99.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
