Hot and humid conditions are expected Sunday afternoon and evening, with high temperatures climbing into the middle 90s. Maximum heat index values of 105 degrees or higher are possible, especially in the Charlotte Metro area, the Savannah River Valley, and parts of the southern SC Upstate. These conditions will present an increased risk of heat-related illness for those who are sensitive to heat and to those without access to air conditioning.
