...LINGERING SHOWERS AND T-STORMS THIS AFTN/EVE OVER E NV AND SE
CA...
...GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS OTHERWISE WITH WARMING TEMPS EARLY NEXT
WEEK AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (THU AM - WED AM)...

Lingering scattered showers and thunderstorms today over se CA and
eastern NV as the mid level moisture begins to shift out of the
area. This will be accomplished by the trough that is currently
moving through the west coast and ushering in dryer air. This trough
will also act to keep temperatures near to just above normal the
rest of the week. Another upper low will then move through the PacNW
over the weekend keeping the region under a troughing pattern. There
will be a slight chance of showers along the northern regional
boarder (mainly Sunday) as it passes. 500 mb heights will be high
enough for plenty of areas to remain about 5 or so deg F above
seasonal normals. Behind this second system, a strong ridge will
build in over the eastern Pacific acting to warm things back up
early next week. Expecting temperatures to jump back up to 5 to 10
deg F above normal and 5 to 15 deg F above normal by mid week. Dry
conditions expected after today.
