Rain has moved south of the area this morning, and cloud cover is
gradually clearing from north to south. Clear skies, high
humidity, and light winds is leading to the development of fog
this morning, especially for the northwest counties. Did issue a
Dense Fog Advisory for northwest Middle TN, and trends will have
to be monitored closely to see if the Dense Fog Advisory needs to
be expanded to include more counties. Fog will diminish this
morning after sunrise, leading to what will be a beautiful day.
High temperatures will be below normal in the wake of yesterday`s
cold front with mostly clear skies and dry conditions.

Quiet conditions persist into Tuesday as northerly surface winds
help to keep our temperatures below normal for early June with
highs in the upper-70s to low-80s.

(Tuesday Night through next Monday)

As we head into the mid to late week period, temperatures will be
warming each day as high pressure begins to build overhead. By
Thursday, several locations will likely see high temperatures in
the low-90s. Temperatures will continue to warm this upcoming
weekend as highs reach into the mid-90s.

While a stray pop-up thunderstorm can`t be completely ruled out
this week, especially late week, chances look to be very low as
model consensus is generally to suppress convection due to the
building high pressure. But that may change Sunday and into early
next week as models show moisture advection helping to trend our
rain and thunderstorm chances back up.

Patchy dense fog that is bringing IFR/LIFR conditions will lift
over the next 1-3 hours and then we will see VFR conditions today.
Northerly winds increase to 5-10 knots for the afternoon. Fog is
less likely tonight but some patchy fog will still be possible
mainly in valleys and near water ways.
