(Today through Monday Night) Issued at 333 AM CDT Sun Jun 30 2024 No surprise at this point that another Heat Advisory is in effect for this afternoon. Moisture continues to increase across the area today, as do daytime temperatures, the increase in moisture combined with the high temperatures will result in heat indices in the 105- 110F range. This will be the same story for Monday. Max temperatures for today and Monday will be in the mid to upper 90s inland and in the low 90s along the coast. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible again today, particularly this afternoon with peak heating and the sea breeze. Additionally, a layer of Saharan Dust approaching from the east may create hazy conditions later today and on Monday. Lows for tonight and Monday will be in the mid 70s to around 80 degrees. Adams

(Tuesday through Saturday) Issued at 333 AM CDT Sun Jun 30 2024 Ridging, both in the lower & upper levels, will maintain the dog breath weather for a good part of the week. While chances of diurnally driven precip aren`t out of the question, they should generally be on the low end each day. Attention turns to Hurricane Beryl heading into the weekend. Beryl is currently several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands. Guidance generally takes this system wnw through the Caribbean and should be somewhere in the vicinity of the Bay of Campeche early Saturday. Eventual track/details are dependent on way too many factors to chase in regards to SE TX wx impacts (if any) this far out. Just be aware something is out there and a general reminder not to focus upon any one model, or model run, at this point. 47

&& .AVIATION... (06Z TAF Issuance) Issued at 1132 PM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 Scattered showers/isolated thunderstorms have dissipated across in- land portions of the CWA tonight, but there is some isolated shower development along/near the coast the could continue through sunrise. Otherwise, SE winds (4-7kts) to prevail for the overnight hours, as well as some brief patchy fog/low clouds (MVFR) for our usual spots through the early morning. With only widely scattered/isolated chances for precipitation like- ly again for tomorrow/Sun, will not add any mention of VCSH/VCTS in at this time. Else, VFR to prevail with SE winds 10kts or less. 41 && .MARINE...

Issued at 333 AM CDT Sun Jun 30 2024 A broad area of low pressure over the Bay of Campeche will bring a longer period swell into the upper Texas coastal waters today then diminish Monday. Will hoist the caution flags in the 20-60nm off Matagorda for now and watch trends. There`s a chance that seas get a touch higher and if so, will need to upgrade to an SCA. Otherwise, this system is expected to push inland into Mexico on Monday with no other impacts locally. Surface high pressure moving overhead will result in light winds and a more distinct landbreeze/seabreeze circulation through Tuesday. More prevalent onshore winds will resume by midweek. 47
