...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN WARD...SOUTHWESTERN
SHERIDAN...EASTERN MCLEAN...NORTHWESTERN BURLEIGH...SOUTHWESTERN
MCHENRY AND NORTHEASTERN OLIVER COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM CDT...

At 517 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northeast of Washburn, or 29 miles southeast of Garrison,
moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Garrison, Washburn, Velva, Underwood, Turtle Lake, Mcclusky, Max,
Riverdale, Mercer, Coleharbor, Butte, Benedict, Ruso City, Voltaire,
Denhoff, Ruso, Strawberry Lake, New Johns Lake, Hensler, and Hoffer
Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
south central North Dakota.
