Routine Fire Wx Fcst (With/Without 6-10 Day Outlook)
Issued by NWS Columbia, SC
Issued by NWS Columbia, SC
745 FNUS52 KCAE 291706 FWFCAE Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina and East Central Georgia National Weather Service Columbia SC 106 PM EDT Sat Jun 29 2024 .DISCUSSION... Excessive heat and humidity will remain a concern tomorrow. A frontal boundary is expected to move into the region late on Sunday and remain over or near the region through Monday. This should enhance shower and thunderstorm activity. A widespread wetting rain is not expected despite the increase in convective activity. Because of this, fire weather concerns will continue to increase, especially with the Independence Day celebrations coming up. There will be a brief respite from the heat and humidity Monday through Tuesday, but it returns by Independence Day. Fog potential for tonight: Patchy fog possible.
