If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Active weather will be the norm during the latter part of the morning. Showers and embedded thunderstorms will be moving into the area in the next hour with a high likelihood by noon. This activity has generated wind gusts in excess of 55 mph at a number of locations along with brief heavy rain and dangerous lightning. Thunderstorm activity will become more scattered around the area this afternoon as dry air works in ahead of a cold front, though winds will be picking up with the front`s approach. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (65-75 percent). Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms late in the morning, then showers and chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Max temperature.....70-75.
