Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
309 PM EDT Thu Jun 20 2024

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will prevail to the north while low pressure passes
westward well to the south tonight. The low will bring an uptick
in moisture and a little rain Friday. Warmer and more humid
conditions with more rain chances are then expected this weekend
into next week as a more summertime pattern sets up. Heat indices
should be close to or even exceeding 100 degrees for many starting
this weekend. Unfortunately rainfall amounts through the period
should be fairly limited for most.

Fog potential for tonight is Low, mainly away from the coast.
