At 358 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Hightsville, or over Wilmington, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Wilmington, Leland, Wrightsville Beach, North Masonboro Island, Figure Eight Island, South Masonboro Island, Hampstead, Topsail Beach, Hightsville, Cape Fear Community College North Campus, Wilmington International Airport, Myrtle Grove, Murrayville, Masonboro, Castle Hayne, University Of North Carolina At Wilmington, Scotts Hill, Ogden, Mayfaire, and Wrightsboro.
