ATKINSON...WARE...BACON...CLINCH...JEFF DAVIS...WEST CENTRAL APPLING AND NORTHWESTERN CHARLTON COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT... At 427 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Pridgen to near Fargo. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph, half inch hail, and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include... Waycross, Douglas, Hazlehurst, Alma, Homerville, Pearson, Broxton, Ambrose, Fargo, and Graham. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding.
