.NOW...
Through 730 pm, scattered showers and possible isolated embedded
thunderstorms will wax and wane across the island chain and adjacent
nearshore waters. Movement of this activity will be slow and erratic
but will generally move to the southeast. Mariners encountering the
strongest activity can expect bouts of moderate to heavy rainfall
reducing visibilities below 3 miles, wind gusts near 20 knots, and
possibly a rare cloud to surface lightning strike. Select island
communities can expect a half and inch to an inch of rainfall, mainly
between Long Key and Tavernier.
