.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Helene is forecast to intensify and lift
north into the eastern Gulf of Mexico tonight. This system will
strengthen further to a Major Hurricane and accelerate north-
northeast toward the Florida Big Bend Thursday, bringing tropical
storm conditions to the local Atlantic waters. As Helene pulls
away Friday, a prolonged period of offshore flow is forecast late
week into the weekend with gradually subsiding seas.

.GULF STREAM HAZARDS...Southeast winds increasing 20 to 30 knots
and seas building 6 to 8 feet.

based on the Real Time Ocean Forecast System as of Wednesday,
September 25th.
