274 FNUS55 KPSR 272202 FWFPSR Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central Arizona and Southeast California National Weather Service Phoenix AZ 302 PM MST Thu Jun 27 2024 .DISCUSSION... Drier conditions will persist through Saturday. A few showers and lightning strikes have occurred over eastern Gila County so far today, but the potential for these continues to decrease as we head into this evening. Chances for thunderstorms return to the high terrain of Southern Gila County by Saturday but remain below 20 percent. Winds will generally be light, below 15 mph sustained through Saturday, with gusts upwards of 20 to 25 mph each afternoon and evening. Temperatures will remain above normal, ranging from 107 to 112 degrees across the lower deserts through Saturday. MinRHs will generally bottom out around 15 to 25% each afternoon, and overnight recoveries will be fair at around 30 to 50%, except slightly lower in portions of Southeastern California Friday night. ...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
