Grassland Fire Danger will remain Low through the weekend, mainly
due to moist conditions keeping humidity above 50 percent for the
entire forecast area. The main fire weather concern through the
weekend will be periods of gusty winds. Southerly winds will gust up
to 25-30 miles per hour this afternoon, lingering through overnight
tonight (particularly over northeastern South Dakota and western
Minnesota). Sunday afternoon to evening will also see some strong
southeasterly winds along and west of the Missouri River, gusting
upward of 20-25 miles per hour. Otherwise, winds will be fairly
light across the region through the weekend.
