884 FNUS63 KABR 211945 RFDABR Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Aberdeen SD 245 PM CDT Fri Aug 21 2026 .DISCUSSION... Winds continue to be light, around 10 mph or less for all but south central South Dakota, where they remain out of the east with a few gusts in the 20 to 25 mph range. The driest air this afternoon will stay over north central South Dakota, around 25 to 30 percent, while staying above 35 percent elsewhere. A ridge of high pressure will continue to build across the Northern Plains, resulting in mainly dry weather through Saturday. Relative humidity will fall mainly into the 30 to 40 percent range Saturday afternoon, with winds out of the north to northeast at 5 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Our next 30 to 70 percent chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms will move into central South Dakota Sunday night Sunday evening before expanding to northeastern South Dakota and west central Minnesota Sunday night.
