.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions today, with ample sunshine, temperatures in the 80s
with light winds, and afternoon humidity falling to between 40 and
60 percent. Temperatures increase Monday, with readings in the 90s
along with high humidity and heat index values topping out near 100
for some areas. Winds will also be on the increase, along with a
shift from southeast to northwest as a weak front crosses the
Dakotas.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Monday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
