...THE GROWING SEASON HAS ENDED FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL NEW YORK AND
NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA...

October 11th is up to ten days beyond the average first freeze
date for much of the area. For the remainder of the year, Frost
Advisories and Freeze Warnings will not be issued for counties
served by the National Weather Service in Binghamton, with the
following exceptions:

For Onondaga, Southern Cayuga, Seneca, and Yates Counties in
Central New York, as well as Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties in
Northeast Pennsylvania, the growing season will end October 21st.
Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings will continue to be issued
for those counties until then.

Frost and Freeze products will begin again for our area in May
2026, with the start of the next growing season.
