...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN VALLEY COUNTY
THROUGH 830 PM MDT...

At 737 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lake Fork Guard Station, or 11 miles east of McCall, moving north at
40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust possible. Minor
         damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
McCall, Upper Payette Lake, Lick Creek Summit, Ponderosa Campground,
Payette Lake, Little Payette Lake, South Fork Guard Station, Krassel
Work Center, and Lake Fork Guard Station.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
