.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Thursday...
Relatively cool and moist conditions will continue through
Thursday. The heaviest rain is expected across Lincoln County west
along the Palmer Divide and into northwest Park/southwest
Jefferson Counties. North of I-70 in the mountains and north of
I-76 across the plains are not likely to see any accumulating
precipitation. Snow levels will be around 11,500 ft and any
accumulating snow is likely to remain along the southern Front
Range to Mosquito/Tenmile Ranges.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...
Warm and dry Friday through Monday with temperatures warming into
the upper 70s to low 80s across the plains, with 60s in the
mountain valleys. Winds should be light enough and RH remaining
above 20 percent that we do not expect any fire weather concerns
through the period. A weak trough is expected to move across
Colorado in the late Monday through Tuesday time period, increasing
rain chances especially in the mountains.
