975 FNUS55 KBOU 052057 FWFBOU Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 257 PM MDT Wed Jun 5 2024 .DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...Upper ridging will dominate the weather tonight and Thursday. The airmass will be dry with above seasonal normal temperatures on Thursday. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected over the plains for a few hours Thursday afternoon. Smoke dispersal looks to be good to very good for most areas Thursday afternoon. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...Above normal temperatures will continue on Friday with dry surface conditions also expected. Humidity values will again fall to roughly 15-25% across most of the area with a few drier spots possible. Mid-level moisture will increase enough for a few weak showers or storms by the afternoon, though wetting rain chances are generally low. Smoke dispersal will be good to excellent. A cooler and wetter pattern is expected by the weekend, with showers and storms likely during the afternoon hours. This pattern should linger into early next week. ...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds... ...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds... ...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid... ...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone groups and may not match the actual forecast values shown in those groups...
