...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal Waters extending out to 25 nm South of Marthas Vineyard
  and Nantucket...
  Nantucket Sound...

At 844 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and cloud to ground
lightning. This thunderstorm was located near Point Gammon, moving
southwest at 20 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Nantucket Sound, Wasque Point, Muskeget Channel, Monomoy Point, Cape
Poge Light, Nantucket Shoals Buoy, Point Gammon, and Edgartown
Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...briefly rough seas and
lightning strikes. Consider heading for safe harbor until this storm
passes.
