Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected through the evening. Storms will be weak but could produce erratic wind gusts, mainly close to the mountains/foothills. Significant change in the weather pattern over the weekend as a powerful weather system moves across the region. Expect several inches of snowfall in the higher elevations of all mountain ranges with widespread rain at the lower elevations. Snow levels could get as low as 5500-6000 ft for the latter part of the weekend. Most of the region should see 0.50-1.50" of liquid precipitation.
