Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1250 PM EST Fri Nov 28 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions continue as high pressure builds into the area
through Saturday with critical RH`s expected again Saturday
afternoon. Winds should continue to weaken from Friday evening
through Saturday as the high pressure center moves overhead.
Moisture and southeasterly winds return on Sunday ahead of our
next front; a few showers are possible Sunday but it will be a
mostly dry front. Winds then turn northerly behind the front on
Monday and dry air briefly returns before widespread heavy rain
is expected on Tuesday. A widespread 1"+ rain looks likely and
should put a dent in the persistent drought conditions.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected tonight.
