Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
141 AM EST Thu Dec 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Cool and calm weather is expected through Saturday. 20-ft winds
generally SW to NW and less than 15 mph, though a few gusts may
approach 20 mph on Friday. The return of drier air at the surface
also hinders the threat for overnight or morning fog development
for the next several days. Another system moves through Saturday
night into Sunday, with a slight chance of showers and some breezy
winds by Sunday afternoon. Much cooler temperatures return early
next week as dry conditions settle back into the region. Daytime
humidities generally remaining above 35 percent through Sunday
with very good overnight recoveries.

Fog potential tonight: None.
