Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1255 PM EST Mon Dec 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Following some widespread light rain on Monday morning, a cold
front will push through and bring some notably drier air into
the area for Tuesday. Winds quickly shift out of the southwest
on Wednesday, with some gusty winds over 25 mph likely. Another
front will swing through early Thursday, swinging winds out of
the northwest but no precip is expected with that front. Cool
and calm weather expected then through Saturday before a strong
front arrives over the weekend, bringing some gusty winds, rain
chances, and very cold air.

Fog potential tonight: Some patchy fog possible tonight,
especially near rivers.
