Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
103 PM EST Tue Dec 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Windy conditions on Wednesday ahead of a dry cold front that
will push through by Thursday morning; the persistent low stratus
will finally mix out Wednesday morning as a result. Gusts over 30
mph are expected across the area. Cool and calm weather is then
expected Thursday-Saturday with no notable wind shifts or morning
fog expected. A strong will then push through again on Sunday with
breezy conditions expected, but limited rain chances.

Fog potential tonight: Some patchy fog possible tonight especially
near rivers.
