Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1005 AM EDT Tue Oct 7 2025

Periods of showers and some isolated thunderstorms are expected
throughout the day today as a cold front begins to enter western
Pennsylvania this afternoon and into the evening hours. The bulk
of shower activity this morning will be stationed across the
western half of the Keystone State before shifting to the eastern
half this evening and into Wednesday morning. Rainfall over the
next 24 hours will be beneficial and bring some marginal relief
to current drought conditions.

High temperatures today will range from the upper 60s across the
northwestern half of the Commonwealth to the lower 80s across the
southeastern half, where some sunshine is possible this afternoon.
Low temperatures overnight into Wednesday morning will range from
the lower 40s to the lower 60s.

Cooler and drier conditions are expected on Wednesday with gusty
northerly breeze. Temperatures for the second half of the week
trend near-to-slightly below seasonal averages, with frost and
freeze potential focused across the northern half of the
Commonwealth.
