Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1047 AM EST Tue Nov 25 2025

Southerly winds ahead of a low pressure system will bring clouds
and rain showers to much of Pennsylvania this afternoon. Rain will
taper off to drizzle tonight, but more showers are expected on
Wednesday, as a cold front moves across the state.

High temperatures today will range from the mid 40s across the
mountains, to the mid 50s elsewhere. Lows tonight will generally
be in the 40s.

After a mild day on Wednesday, with highs ranging from the lower
50s across the northwest to the mid 60s across the southeast,
temperatures will drop quickly behind the cold front Wednesday
night, reaching the mid 20s to lower 30s by sunrise on
Thanksgiving.

The colder air moving across the Great Lakes will result in bands
of snow showers Wednesday night into Friday, mainly across the
northern and western mountains. The potential exist for heavy snow
across the northwestern portion of the Keystone state during this
time, especially directly downwind of the lakes. Winter storm
watches are currently in effect for portions of the northwest
late Wednesday night into Friday evening.

Conditions will continue cold and windy across the Commonwealth into
the holiday weekend. Gusty winds will add a significant chill to
the below normal temperatures.
