.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions continue this afternoon as above
average temperatures with dry and windy conditions persist. The
strongest winds are in southeast Wyoming with gusts between 30 and
45 MPH. This will continue through the afternoon hours with relative
humidity hovering at or just about 15 percent. Brief Red Flag
conditions are possible, but will likely only last for an hour or
two. Winds will ease this evening, with some scattered showers
expected to move into the western portion of the CWA late this
evening. A cold front moving across the area on Saturday will lead
to widespread precipitation with wetting rains likely across most of
the area. Precipitation chances continue into Sunday, limiting fire
weather concerns.
