.DISCUSSION...
Another day with widespread rainfall keeping fire weather concerns at
bay is expected today and Saturday. Afternoon relative humidity values
today are expected to drop into the 25 to 30 percent range as portions
of Carbon, Albany, and Laramie counties become sandwich between a surface
low over the southern Panhandle and a surface high over northwestern
Colorado this afternoon. As a result, downslope winds will increase in
this region, leading to drying conditions. Humidity values are expected
to remain above critical thresholds, despite the increasing winds this
afternoon. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected to return for
Sunday onward as an upper-level ridge builds over the Intermountain West.
