This wildfire is estimated to have reached
about 1,028 acres of burned forest and
grasslands. A probable cause of the fire is
from lightning. The timing is based on a
nearby lightning strike detected by ground
based detection network. During the evening
of May 14 the fire increased in intensity on
the GOES shortwave infrared channel with an
apparent increase in the smoke plume
observed on visible. The peak shortwave
temperature value reached was 160 degrees
Fahrenheit. By the morning of May 20th the
fire was reported to be 100 percent
            contained.
