...Elevated Fire Danger this Weekend...

.DISCUSSION...High pressure ensures mainly dry conditions through the
weekend. Near record temperatures in the upper 80s combine with low
moisture to drop minimum RH values to 30 to 40 percent both today
and Sunday. Light southwest winds today increase into Sunday,
becoming sustained at 15 mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph for the
afternoon. These conditions combine with expanding drought
conditions and drying vegetation to support elevated fire weather
concerns until a cold front brings rain chances late Monday-Tuesday.
