.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

- Early summer conditions continue through the week with warm
temperatures, increased humidity, and chances for afternoon and
  evening thunderstorms.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
Upper ridge over the region will flatten out for the next few days
before beginning to rebound to the west around midweek. A
shortwave slides through the flow on Tuesday and could generate
more widespread showers and thunderstorms but otherwise only
expect a few afternoon showers on most days.

By the end of the week, the southwest flow aloft is reestablished,
and although the southeast low level flow is not very strong,
another round of more widespread, and potentially strong storms is
possible.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

Days 1 through 2, I used a hi-res model blend for more detail in
winds and precip probability. Day 3 and beyond: NBM

.AVIATION...
VFR. Weak high pressure moving across the region with weak
boundary over southern Montana will limit shower and thunderstorm
activity today.
