.DISCUSSION...
South-southeasterly winds will increase this morning and through the
afternoon with the strongest winds for the counties along the Colorado/Kansas
border and the Nebraska counties. For these areas, expect winds peaking
as high as 20-30 mph and gusts to 30-45 mph. Elsewhere, breezy winds of
10-15 mph with gusts of 15 to 20 mph can be expected. Despite the
gusty winds, fire weather conditions will stay under critical thresholds
as south-southeasterly flow helps to increase low-level moisture. A few
non-severe storms may move into northeast Colorado by Monday night with
move widespread rainfall expected Tuesday.
