In 1936, the temperature dropped to 5 degrees below zero in Wray
Colorado, 3 below in Burlington, 1 below in Colby Kansas, and 0
in Goodland Kansas and McCook Nebraska, all records for the month
of April.

In 1989, Strong and gusty winds prevailed from California to
Colorado and Wyoming. Winds gusted to 85 mph at Berthoud Pass Colorado.
Snow and high winds created blizzard conditions in the Colorado
Rockies.
