Hazardous travel conditions are expected to develop tonight, particularly in Vilas, Oneida, Forest, and Florence counties, where heavy snow and blowing snow will begin. Strong northwest winds gusting to 35 mph will develop late tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Tuesday A winter storm will impact the region on Wednesday. Heavy snow is expected across north-central Wisconsin, with accumulations of 8 to 15 inches possible in Vilas County, locally higher in the northwest corner of the county. Snowfall of 4 to 8 inches is expected in Oneida, Forest, and Florence counties. Strong northwest winds gusting 35 to 50 mph will cause significant blowing and drifting snow, creating very difficult travel conditions. Light snow combined with gusty northwest winds 35 to 50 mph could create hazardous travel conditions at times across central, east- central, and parts of far northeast Wisconsin on Wednesday.
