For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, along north facing reefs of Tinian and Saipan. For the High Rip Current Risk, along east facing reefs of Tinian and Saipan. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 5 PM ChST Sunday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An east to northeast swell associated with Typhoon Saudel will bring hazardous surf along north facing reefs, and produce a high risk of rip currents along the east-facing reefs of Tinian and Saipan through at least Sunday afternoon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. As Saudel moves closer to the far northern Marianas, surf will build along north facing reefs, potentially becoming hazardous later this weekend. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline.
